Hello again from Sturbridge Yankee Workshop in Portland, Maine.
I am probably jinxing us by waving goodbye to Old Man Winter while the snow is still plentiful and the air cold, but I can't resist. I listened to my first Red Sox game of the season this morning and, regardless of the weather, the Sox bring Spring with them. They beat the Oakland A's in 10 innings: 6-5. 161 games away from a perfect season. The game was played in Tokyo with first pitch at 6:10am our time. Cereal and juice replaced a cold Moxie (The official soft drink of Maine - The town of Lisbon has a Moxie festival every Summer to celebrate it's unique taste) and hot dog for me, but I didn't mind. All's well that ends well.
Spring is on the way out and our annual "Everything on Sale" sale is nearing the finish line also. It's been a good sale for us. We like to be busy helping everyone flip their homes from Winter to Spring decor. There's nothing like a good spring cleaning. For some great tips to help you freshen up your house, click here. I know my mom doesn't think anything works better than elbow grease, but I like to save most of my weekend energy for my daughter. She's 7 months and is deserving of all the time I can give her. She's a little sassy like her mom, and I relish every moment with her. Another cheer for Spring since my daughter will be able to hit the yard with me in short order.
Well, that's it for now. Please let us know if we can help you get ready for Spring. That's what we are here for.
John
